OPEN STUDIO ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM

Struts & Faucet welcomes applications from national and international visual artists and media artists to participate in Open Studio: our annual series of five-week artist residencies in the gallery. Artists-in-residence can continue their practice or develop a project or site-specific work and are encouraged to creatively engage with the community through screenings, talks, workshops, projects, or events. Struts & Faucet pays an artist fee and per diem, covers the cost of travel and any materials associated with workshops or other public events, and provides accommodation for the artist in the Struts & Faucet apartment. Residencies are selected by a committee of Struts & Faucet members.

TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL FOR A RESIDENCY, PLEASE SEND:

1. Project proposal: a brief description of your Residency. Include technical requirements and site specifications if applicable. (max 250 words)

2. A brief bio (max 250 words)

3. Documentation of your work: up to ten images or five minutes of audio visual material. All images and audio visual material must be Mac compatible.

4. Current curriculum vitae

EASE ON DOWN THE ROAD ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM
Deadline: Ongoing

Ease on Down the Road is a residency opportunity for emerging media artists living in the Atlantic region. Residencies are between one and four weeks in length, depending on the artist’s availability, the scope of the project, and accommodation availability.

We offer a stipend for travel and the cost of living, accommodation in our private apartment, and unlimited access the centre’s media art equipment and resources during the residency, including one-on-one equipment training and mentorship.

We welcome applications from all emerging media artists in the Atlantic region. To apply, please write to us and include some information about yourself (who you are, where you live, the kind of work that you make or are interested in making) and how you think you might be able to use this residency opportunity. Let us know when you’re available and how long you expect that you would need to be in residency in order to accomplish your project goals.

CALL FOR FILM AND VIDEO WORKS
Deadline: Ongoing

Struts & Faucet welcomes applications from all professional media artists and independent filmmakers to present film and video works in screenings or exhibitions throughout the year. This open call for film and video submissions has a rolling deadline and a committee reviews applications twice annually.

TO APPLY, PLEASE SEND:

  1. A link to the complete film or video work you wish to present
  2. A description of the work, including ideal presentation scenarios and technical requirements
  3. 3. An up to date curriculum vitae

Struts & Faucet is dedicated to paying artist fees and uses the IMAA fee schedule as a guide when presenting media artworks.

CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

Struts & Faucet welcomes applications from all professional media artists and independent filmmakers to present media arts workshops in Sackville, NB. These workshops could be lecture-based or production oriented (or any format) and hopefully utilize Struts & Faucet’s current equipment holdings. This open call has a rolling deadline and a committee reviews applications twice annually.
