Western is a new series of work that focuses on boyish obsessions. Within the creation of the works, Doucette takes on the perspective of a geeky little boy. By tapping into his childhood interests, such as a fondness for Atari and cowboys, as well as his memories of roll-playing as Ryan, a character from the film Dungeons & Dragons, Doucette brings the viewer into the mind of a twelve year old boy who is just beginning to think about sex. mariodoucette@hotmail.com
