May 16, 2016 - 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Please join artist-in-residence Leah Byrne for an exploratory workshop about listening and interpreting sound. We will discuss sounds in the natural world, methods of collecting, and explore the possibilities of creating music using natural and found materials including handmade instruments. Participants are encouraged to bring their own materials with which to experiment – houseplants are welcome!

Leah Byrne is a visual artist working in film, photography, sculpture, and performance. Her projects examine relationships between perception, matter, and memory, and often take shape within a framework of shared experience.

This workshop is free and open to everyone.
