OKAY Radio is an artist-packed, one-of-a-kind, community radio experience to be heard on CHMA 106.9fm in Sackville and the greater Tantramar region for two days only.
The radio program will feature artists from across Canada, including Katie Ward, Ray Fenwick, Hazel Meyer, and David Barclay, as well as musicians playing Sappyfest. A short history of the past ten years of music in Sackville will be broadcast, highlighting bands that have formed, played, morphed and broke up in town. Listeners are invited to call in to request songs by Sackville bands and/or share their favourite OK.Quoi?! or SappyFest memory.
The radio extravaganza is presented as part of SappyFest and Ok.Quoi?! Contemporary Arts Festival in collaboration with CHMA Radio.
ilse KRAMER is a long-time radio host and a multi-disciplinary artist. she recently relocated to toronto, ON from sackville, NB. her work often includes hand-drawn fonts, postal elements, animation, and music. having coordinated and delivered CITY MAIL for the past few years of OK.Quoi?!, this time she’s taking to the airwaves. her radio programs have been broadcast on CHMA 106.9fm since 2001.
